Good Wednesday Everyone,
…This Lord’s Day we initiated our latest sermon series into the life of Daniel. Remember our key sermon series verses found in Ezekiel 14:12-14. God spoke the name of three men whose lives He would spare from judgement because of their righteousness, one of whom was Daniel. The other righteous men God named were Noah and Job. If God personally references the name of a righteous man whom He would withhold His judgement against, we must investigate the lives of these men. As we described Sunday, Daniel was a “brilliant” man of God in every aspect of his earthly life. Daniel truly lived to, “Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.”
Daniel’s obedience to God produced deadly consequences upon his life. Are the “consequences” to obedience worth it. The answer is YES! We are so very blessed in this county, so blessed in fact the negative “consequences” for worldly obedience are rare, even non-existent. But negative consequences for godly obedience are rising. We are entering a day and time when Christians will have to stand strong with obedience unto God rather than follow orders from the world, our government, our employers, and even our friends. This is a hard day to comprehend for America. Each of us loves our country deeply, and we would all follow and even fight for the freedom our country provides. But our love of country must never supersede our love of God and the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. This Christian posture will place us into conflict with the world.

Good Wednesday Everyone,
Weekly blessings from your pastor. This last weekend was our community’s annual Calico Arts Festival. Happily, it was our second together and it was a great success. If you didn’t know Bethel Baptist had a booth in support of our children’s ministry. Several of our children worked shifts and helped in and out of the booth as we sold hanging and potted plants with drinks and boiled peanuts. They raised over $3,000 and sold 250 plants for their summer mission camps. Thank you all who came and supported our children. There will be other opportunities to bless our children and show your support as they grow in the Lord this Summer.
For your April calendar: Tonight, is our weekly Wednesday Night Fellowship dinner and Bible Study. The menu is tacos, so if you can bring whatever you like on a taco and/or a dessert. Then we continue in our Revelation Bible study. We will be in Revelation 7 and 8 this evening. It is never too late to join in the study of God’s Word. Then on the last Sunday of April, 04/30/23, will be our Fifth Sunday Fellowship. This is a wonderful time as most of our church family can eat and fellowship together. The weather should allow for the children to play outside. Please bring a dish to pass and stay for dinner immediately after the service in the fellowship hall.

Good Wednesday Everyone,
Happy Easter!! Blessings from your pastor. The last two weeks have been full, and I have missed our Wednesday encouragements. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to push “Pause” on the days we have so much to do, then press “Play” once we are caught up. Wednesday is one of my most favorite days of the week and I need a “Pause” button sometimes. Each week I never know what God will place into my heart, and I pray His message comes as a blessing for all.
As we are well into our weekly activities, the world seems to be “Paused” for a moment in this special week. This is not another week of fifty-two on our calendar. This is not a week we recognize a national holiday, not a religious philosophy, nor a global achievement. This is a significant week for not only Christians to celebrate, but for the rest of the religions to mock and scoff. What happened this week becomes the core of our faith and the core of theirs. Prayerfully, our core will get stronger, and theirs will weaken. Christians believe this week happened just a Scripture described; other religions teach nothing happened at all.

Good Wednesday Everyone,
Blessings from your pastor. I hope the last week found you well as we walk together. Can you believe we are approaching Easter already? There are several things upcoming for the children you will not want to miss. There will be upcoming announcements with dates and times soon.
What a blessing and joy Wednesday Night Fellowships are to our church family. If you have not come to our mid-week fellowship, make plans to do so. You are missing special times. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other, meet others, and be in the Lord’s house in a different way than on our Sunday mornings. The focus of every Wednesday night is fellowship and food. We must meet together, and we must feed each other. Tonight, is pizza, so bring something to pass if you can. Everything goes with pizza especially dessert. Pizza is always a great meal for everyone. Bring a favorite pizza topping or whatever you enjoy with your pizza.
Then, we will enjoy our continuing study in Revelation. As a recap: We saw the glorified risen Christ; we heard Christ’s message of preparation to all Christians through His through His word to the seven churches, and now we begin to see why Christ addressed every Christian Church – The End Times. Christ Jesus has full authority over everything, He has prepared us for what is to come, and now Christ gives John the vision of what will happen next. Join us as we study together.

Good Wednesday Everyone,
Blessings from your pastor. The week has been filled with travel up and down I-65. I hope your week has gone well and I pray you end strong. Last night we enjoyed a wonderful Wednesday Night Fellowship, the noise of children playing, the fellowship of our congregation, then we enjoyed our meal and Bible study. It was a great night for God’s people in His church…
Stay with me for a moment concerning Christian fellowship. In the world of metal, material not music, we all know what a “weld” is even if we have never “welded” a day in our life. A welders most basic job is to weld two or more individual metal pieces together with a permanent and strong metal “bead”. The better the welder, the better the bead. The stronger the bead, the stronger the welded metal. We know God is our great provider, our great physician, our great sustainer, and He is also our great “Welder”.
