Good Wednesday Everyone,

Blessings from your pastor. The week is full and so much is happening at the parsonage. Our daughter Jacquelynn and husband Chris are visiting along our two granddaughters. It has been a wonderful week and they all are such a joy. Bethel’s parsonage is experiencing late night feedings, eating with hands, always empty sippy cups, diaper changes five minutes after a previous diaper change, and bubble baths with Ping-Pong balls. A completely normal week!! Now, it’s Wednesday. As always, we will see you this evening. The menu IS fried chicken. Our congregation will not disappoint with the sides and desserts to share. The youth and adults will explore Christ’s message to the Christian church at Philadelphia, and our children will meet for Mission Friends. What a wonderful group of children we have had in recent weeks. The noise of children is proof of vitality for Bethel Baptist. The more children, the more of everything.

Good Wednesday Everyone,

Blessings everyone. We missed our Bethel Baptist congregation this Sunday, but we are so thankful the Reverend Larry Lane, a familiar face at Bethel Baptist filled the Lord’s pulpit. This is a short week for most, but as always just as busy. Tonight, we meet for our Wednesday Night Fellowship, prayer time, and Bible study. The menu is fried chicken, and any side or dessert you bring will be most appreciated. The adults and youth continue their study in Revelation as we examine what Christ said to the church at Sardis. This is the fifth church addressed in the Revelation, and Christ’s fifth pronouncement to Christianity. The children will continue with “Mission Friends” together.

Brother Larry Lane continued with us in our latest sermon series, “God’s Way Is BELIEVED Through God’s Church.” Never underestimate the need of the Christian Church in our world, nation, state, or our community. The only way people will hear and believe God’s way of truth is through His church. The first two sermons in our series have answered two questions: Who is Jesus Christ? And the second: What does Jesus Christ do? The answer to the first is Jesus Christ is our God and our Saviour. The answer to the second is Jesus Christ raises people from the dead. Now the rest of the series answers the question: What does Jesus Christ want from me?

Blessings everyone. The weekend is upon us. Perhaps you have Monday as a holiday and can enjoy a long weekend. Tonight – We meet at 6:00pm for our Wednesday Night Fellowship. The meal is “Breakfast for Dinner”. So, if you can bring a breakfast casserole, or a breakfast drink (milk/orange juice) this we be most helpful.

Once again, we must commend our Children’s Ministry under Tamara Holcomb’s and her leadership team. This Lord’s Day our children hosted a Valentine’s Day dinner in the BBC fellowship hall. The food was excellent, the fellowship was wonderful, and the service was outstanding. The children raised over $900 towards their mission project. That’s nearly heifer money beloved!!

Good Wednesday Everyone,

Blessings everyone. I pray the Lord has blessed you this week, and I pray you were a blessing to others. It’s the first week of February, and once we reach February the year seems to normalize. Remember several happenings with Bethel Baptist this week. Of course, tonight is our Wednesday Night Fellowship. Join us as we continue our study of Revelation, and Mission Friends for our children. We will serve a potato bar, and if you can bring anything fixings you like as others will surely like them too. Also, please bring any sides or desserts to share.

This Sunday Bethel Baptist’s children will host a Valentine’s Dinner (Beef tips/Rice/Salad/Dessert) in the fellowship hall immediately following the sermon. The cost is $8.00/person, and all monies will be used by the children’s ministry in the purchase of farm animal(s) for families where our global Christian missionaries serve.

Good Wednesday Everyone,

Blessings to all this week. Last week we had such an encouraging Lord’s Day, and our Lord did not disappoint this week – What a wonderful congregation, Sunday School, and what a joyful Fifth Sunday Fellowship. To all who prepared for us thank you for your righteous work. To all who joined with us thank you for your faithfulness. Now, some Myrick news: Our granddaughter “Joanne Marie Dunn” was born on Tuesday. Everyone is healthy and resting now. This alters our Wednesday Night Fellowship ever so slightly. Heid and I will be with them for the rest of the work week. So, Wednesday Caleb Thrower will coordinate episode 1, season 3 of The Chosen. All, if you have not seen this series, The Chosen, you are missing a powerful blessing. The truth of Scripture is superbly presented, with creative and most of all completely plausible interpretations of what could have happened surrounding the Scriptural event. You will be blessed with this episode and series. We need to be firm with our starting time of 6:00pm, then at 6:30pm begin heading to the sanctuary. The episode is under an hour, and this will keep our departure at 7:30pm. Parents, if you think your children would like to watch, please bring them with you.
